Founder of 153/Joombas Music Group and multi-platinum producer Hyuk Shin has produced over 100 artists and released over 1000 songs in the K-POP field for over a decade.
He was the first Korean to enter the Billboard Hot 100, produced Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl,” and became the first K-POP million-selling producer since 2010 with EXO’s “Growl. He also discovered an artist DEAN, who won the top prize in the R&B & Soul category at the Korean Music Awards that year.

- Adults 18 years of age or older
- Gender, nationality, academic background irrelevant.

2. How to apply
- Producing: Create and submit a production track in your own style for the boy group K-POP or girl group K-POP genre.
- Toplining: Create and submit a toplining track in your own style for the boy group K-POP or girl group K-POP genre (vocal production, demo mixing required / lyric draft optional).
- Producing
- Create and submit one song track in the K-Pop genre that showcases your strengths.
- Include a short introduction to the production track you created.
- Based on the selection criteria, the three winners will be individually mentored by Hyuk Shin Producer.
- Toplining

- Based on the production track downloaded from the link above, create and submit 1 toplining track in the K-POP genre that utilizes your strengths. (Vocal production and demo mixing required / lyrics optional)

3. Submission materials
- After clicking the “Submission” button above, download the attached support form and fill in the blanks to submit.
- File Format > File Name: [Special Mentoring] Song Name_Applicant Name_Contact / File Format: MP3
- Submitted songs must be converted to a compressed file before submitting. (Failure to convert to a compressed file may result in rejection.)
4. Registration period
- Registration period: September 17th – October 14th
- 1st Screening result: October 27th (individual notification for successful applicants)
- 2nd Screening result: Only those who passed the 1st round will proceed with the 2nd screening
- Announcement of final screening: Only successful applicants will be notified individually.
5. Notice
- Submitted files and documents will not be returned.
- All content in submissions and submissions may be used for marketing purposes.
- Successful candidates’ songs may be used for marketing purposes, but consent will be requested first if necessary.
- The review schedule may be delayed depending on internal circumstances.
Winner Selection Criteria
Producer Hyuk Shin personally reviews the tracks, taking into account the current trends in K-Pop and the quality of the tracks.
